Jennifer Farnsworth’s jazz painting series entitled: Jazz in Black & White is currently on exhibit at Hodgepodge Gallery in Atlanta. GA. You’re invited to the grand opening - a celebration of jazz including Jennifer Farnsworth’s trio, August 19, 2018, 3pm - 8pm.

Farnsworth paintings and mural at Charlie’s Bar & kitchen in Harlem

Jennifer met the owner of Charlie's Bar & Kitchen while singing in a  quartet there on a Friday night.  The friendship blossomed and soon Jennifer's works were on display through the restaurant.  

The owner, Charlie had great aspirations of designing a large mural of famous and infamous Charlies to be the focal point of the restaurant.  Jennifer loved the idea and soon got to work on the massive 20' x 30' work!

Charlie's Bar & Kitchen draws an eclectic crowd of neighborhood regulars, New York City dwellers as well as visitors from around the world to enjoy the delectable chicken and waffles and the great art!

Teddy Wilson finds a home at Mezzrow Jazz Club NYC

During Jennifer's time spent in Atlanta, she worked closely with piano player, Bill Wilson, son of the late, great Teddy Wilson.  It was only natural that when she first started painting in acrylics (10 years ago) that her very first portrait would be of the great pianist whom she'd admired for many years and got to know a little better through stories of his son.

After NYC club owner, Spike Wilner opened up a jazz club  dedicated to piano players in the heart of the Greenwich Village, it seemed only fitting that her Teddy Wilson painting make it's home there.

Today, you can find this great painting at the entrance of the club, sharing the wall and in the presence of many many jazz giants!  https://www.mezzrow.com/
